You use a microphone, headset, or your phone and are able to interact with the instructor and other students while following notes while watching the presentation slides online just as you would in a live classroom. Notes are posted online. For an extra cost a hard copy can be requested.

Description
This short course intends to introduce the Serviceability limit State design of Spread footings in a simple step by step for wide range of professionals.
 
Target Audience
Employees of federal, provincial and municipal governments and engineers responsible for large industrial, commercial or institutional facilities who must deal with different types of foundations.
 
This course will be of interest to a wide range of practicing civil engineers at different stages in their careers. Some familiarization with soil mechanics is desirable but the knowledge is not required at a specialist level. The course will be most beneficial to geotechnical engineers, engineering geologists, foundation designers, project engineers, and highway/bridge engineers who are involved in the design and construction of foundations . While the discussion topics are technical in nature, those who are not engineer will not be overwhelmed because the instruction is kept to an enjoyable and easy-to-understand level.
