This course in conjunction with the Rig Move - Fatigue Management & Hours of Service course can be taken at a discounted rate of $149.00.
 
Prerequisite: None
 
Course Length: Between 3 and 5 hours, dependent upon learner. 4 hours is appropriate for a blended learning environment
 
Description:
This training program was designed to meet National Safety Code requirements to reduce the number and severity of collisions. While the course is geared to Service Rigs the material satisfies the requirements for anyone operating commercial equipment on a public highway.
 
Upon successful completion, the trainee will demonstrate:
  • An understanding of the regulations governing all carriers on public highways, and requirements to maintain compliance
  • The Use of securing devices and systems, and the characteristics and limitations of each
  • How to secure and inspect loads
  • How to perform pre and post trip inspections
  • An understanding of the principles of cargo securement
  • A clear understanding of the regulations around Hours of Service
