Objective

To enhance awareness of the necessity and costs of providing and maintaining a good indoor air environmental program in buildings in order to prevent complaintaints and symptoms of sick building syndrome!!!

Description

Improvement and maintenance of indoor air environment requires you to have an understanding of Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) parameters such as ventilation, thermal comfort and chemical contaminants and microorganisms. A three-stage approach to investigate and assess IAQ problems facing commercial, institutional and industrial buildings/personnel is explored and presented. A discussion on how to interpret the data/test results and various control strategies that could be used to address IAQ will take place. Various tools and topics related to Indoor Environment for assessing and investigating IAQ related problems in buildings, interpretations of observations and test results and the possible solutions to control theses problems are discussed.

After Attending This Course You Will Be Able To

Able to assess buildings (commercial, institutional and industrial) for IAQ related problems/issues.
Able to recognize IAQ problems in the workplace and how to rectify (developing strategies) them most economically.
Capable of developing a comprehensive prevention programs to maintain a good indoor environment.

Knowledgeable to interpret potential liability.
Able in selecting the right instruments to diagnose IAQ problems.

Rishi Kumar

Rishi Kumar, M.Sc. Eng., P.Eng., PMP, CMC, GSC is a President and CEO of Global Educational and Consulting Services (GECS) and is an approved education provider by the Engineering Institute of Canada, (EIC) and International Association of Continuing Education and Training, Washington, DC (IACET). Rishi obtained his M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering in 1976 from University of Calgary, Alberta. Since 1976, he has held many senior positions in utility, auto industry, research & development, services, manufacturing and consulting sectors in project, program, and portfolio management of various capital projects. Since 1996, he conducted 600+ public and in-house seminars all over the globe through various universities, construction associations and other professional organizations and published/presented 25+ technical, business and management papers in various publications/conferences throughout the globe.

Mr. Kumar is a licensed professional engineer (P.Eng.) in the province of Ontario and holds various professional certifications {certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and certified Quality Auditor}. He obtained his Gold Seal Certification (GSC) from the Canadian Construction Association in 2011.
