Description
This course will give participants the ability to determine the task and design criteria for HVAC system design; find ventilation load based on minimum ventilation rate, heating/cooling load, contaminants emission and other critical data; select type of system; provide equipment layout and duct sizing; select HVAC equipment. Also, the course will look at examples and real situations to comply with Codes, Standards and Recommendations. Participants will be aware of concepts and tips to complete air flow diagram (P&ID), sequence of HVAC system operation, testing and balancing approach.

At the end of the course, Participants will be able to;
1. Create Design Criteria and system conceptualization.
2. Design HVAC systems, including:
- Summer / winter ventilation load calculations;
- Select system configuration;
- Prepare air flow / P&ID diagrams and sequence of operation;
- Equipment, accessories and duct layout and duct sizing;
- System pressure loss calculations;
- Fan selection and sizing;
- System balancing.
